As Senior System Architect performs targeted research to solve problems and support hardware, software, and system development. They provide techno-economic consulting and apply expertise to improve products, processes, and customer-specific features. SWA includes defining requirements, translating use cases into technical models, developing and testing software (e.g., drivers, microcode, firmware), and maintaining Software Configuration Management (SCM) and build/integration infrastructure.

As Senior System Architect conducts target-oriented research to directly apply findings to the specification, design, further development, and incremental improvement of products, services, systems, tools, and processes. They integrate, verify, test, and modify software, hardware, and system components, and leverage innovative solutions to meet specific requirements and specifications.
You have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 10+ years of experience in architecting software, IT, or telecom solutions.
Proven experience in defining architectures and delivering those solutions to the market.
Experience working effectively in global organizations, with strong communication, motivational, and technical leadership skills.
Prior design experience in network management products.
It would be nice if you also had:
Expertise in software engineering practices: DevOps, Agile, CI, test automation, microservices, and XaaS models.
Skilled in Java/J2EE, Linux, DBMS, web technologies, cloud/virtualization, Kubernetes, containers, SDN, and data analytics.
Strong knowledge of next-generation management and control-plane protocols (NetConf/YANG, IPFIX, gRPC).
Able to quickly prototype and validate design approaches.
Define the Altiplano architecture and design, contributing to the BU’s innovation strategy.
Maintain awareness of industry trends in management solutions and software engineering to identify suitable technologies for adoption.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement the architecture and design across domain controller components.
Mentor and coach distributed engineering teams to ensure efficient design, high performance, and high-quality output.
Lead internal process improvements and software engineering innovations to achieve best-in-class practices.
Foster and strengthen the innovation mindset within the group.
Contribute to multi-domain management solutions and cross-BG workgroups to align on common technologies and best practices.
Drive innovation processes and customer collaborations to support product and solution evolution.
