About the Business Group

Join Mobile Networks (MN) and help us become the trusted partner of choice for Communications Service Providers (CSPs), as well as for non-CSP entities in sectors like utilities, transportation, public services, and defense. In MN RAN R&D Unit we focus on the research and development of Radio Access Network (RAN) technologies for mobile networks. Are you ready to shape the future of global connectivity? Join our innovative team as a Telecom Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge 5G/6G technologies. You'll play a pivotal role in researching, designing, and optimizing critical software components for Nokia's advanced base stations, with a specific focus on the high-performance Packet Scheduler layer (L2).
  • Engineering degree in telecommunications or software development, with strong interest in new technologies and creativity.
  • Experience in embedded systems, C++, object-oriented programming, and modern C++ standards; familiar with Agile methodologies, wireless technologies (4G/5G), as well as Python scripts.
  • Working knowledge of Git/Gerrit configuration control tooling.
  • Familiar with continuous integration mechanisms (Jenkins, Zuul, etc).
  • Responsible for delivering accurate, high-quality work and meeting operational targets.
  • Works effectively as an individual contributor within the team, handling standard tasks and seeking guidance when needed.
  • Communicates clearly with internal and external stakeholders and can influence team practices when relevant.
  • Fluent in both French and English.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience with tools like GitHub Copilot or ChapGPT/prompting.



  • Contribute to the development of software functionalities in the base station product
  • Contribute to debugging and fixing product defects detected by testing teams and customers
  • Continuously search for efficiency improvements
  • Provide support to integration camps, interoperability camps and other customer deployments
  • Involved in the complete development cycle (specifications, code reviews, testing)
  • Contribute to product quality improvements via code reviews, static analysis tool debugging, code refactoring, etc.
  • Contribute to implementing functionalities in the different programs required in the Design cycle (test launching infrastructure, System Component tests and framework)
  • Be responsible for performance impacts and continuous integration stability of one’s code.
