As part of the team, you will partner with engineering, operations, to understand project scopes, technical requirements, and timelines to new products. Support development off all new products developed in NAM. Support risk mitigation efforts including supplier, capacity assessments, and continuity planning for critical vendors. Collaborate with engineering team and project management to review technical specifications, critical materials and new product revisions.

About the Business Group

The Program Purchasing Specialist ensures material availability to point of use without exceeding agreed total cost and inventory levels. Is responsible for the daily operative management of suppliers and supply network, operative forecasting, order management, and problem solving on local or global level.
  • Systems Proficiency: SAP and/or other MRP systems.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, materials knowledge and general electronics data.
  • Purchasing / Sourcing experience: Demonstrated ability to run competitive bidding processes, supplier negotiations and terms and conditions management.
  • Planning: knowledge about planning and capability to manage your materials planning.
  • Bilingual: English / Spanish.

  • Supports inbound material availability against the demand on site / factory / hub with optimised logistics total landed cost.
  • Supports execution of orders and supports forecasting for internal and external suppliers.
  • Has some responsibility for material shortage / lead time management.
  • Follows changes in purchased items.
  • Manages inventories (e.g. stock level review, order book management, Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) management and reporting).
  • Has some responsibility for procurement data management and maintenance.
  • Executes inbound logistics models based on the agreed road map.
  • Analyses factual information and possible solutions, makes independent judgements, decisions and recommendations and solves a range of straightforward problems through knowledge and professional experience.
  • Support with operative 1st level supplier management.
