You will be part of our Digital Front End (DFE) ASIC team, where more than 200 professionals are working on the Nokia ReefShark family of System-on-Chips (SoC): ReefShark | Nokia Networks

We are responsible for custom silicon, a key element in our strategy to gain technology leadership in 5G networks. We are working with state-of-the-art tools and have access to the latest silicon technologies. Our team is diverse, with 13 different nationalities represented.

About the Business Group

Join Mobile Networks (MN) and help us become the trusted partner of choice for Communications Service Providers (CSPs), as well as for non-CSP entities in sectors like utilities, transportation, public services, and defense. In MN RAN R&D Unit we focus on the research and development of Radio Access Network (RAN) technologies for mobile networks. This includes developing and improving technologies like 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and 6G, as well as future wireless standards. Are you curious to learn more about digital design? Are you excited about integrated circuits and System-on-Chip? We are looking for tech-minded students to put theoretical knowledge into practice in our research and development projects in our Oulu R&D site.

You have:

  • Knowledge or experience in verification methodologies, e.g. UVM or HighLevelVerification
  • Knowledge or experience in SystemVerilog, VHDL, Matlab, C++ for HighLevelSynthesis
  • Fluent written and verbal English language skills

It would be nice if you also had knowledge or experience in:

  • Digital design, verification and debugging
  • SoC (ASIC/FPGA) design flow and process from RTL to GDS
  • Logical and physical implementation: synthesis, STA, P&R, DFT
  • 3GPP standards
