More specifically, as a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for our French workforce. Your main focus for the 1 year mission will be ensuring that payroll delivery is accurate, compliant with French labor law and tax regulations, completed on time and reconciled in the Finance systems. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain high standards of payroll integrity, support audit processes, and contribute to the overall efficiency of HR operations.


We are looking for a Payroll Specialist for a 1 year fixed-term contract, who will play a key role in managing payroll operations for our French entity. Main focus will be Payroll and Finance reconciliation, as well as ensuring Payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing aligned with local regulations and company policies.
  • 2+ years in French payroll operations
  • Knowledge of French employment law, taxation, and social security regulations.
  • Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliation and audit practices.
  • Proficiency with payroll systems, HR or Finance tools, Excel.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential data in a secure and professional manner.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in French and English.

  • Reconciling Payroll Data: ensuring that payroll data is accurate and consistent by comparing it with finance postings, bank statements and internal records.
  • Executing payroll processing for France, including analysis, and reporting.
  • Comply with French payroll legislation, social security, statutory compliance and Time Management features.
  • Collaborate with payroll providers, HR, Finance, and Legal to ensure payroll alignment with compensation policies, benefits, and accounting standards.
  • Ensure effective communication with Nokia France employees and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
