Network Optimization Engineer

United Kingdom, Romania, Portugal, Poland (Hybrid)

As a Network Optimization Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and improving medium-to-high complexity network solutions. You’ll develop HLD/LLD designs, plan capacity, analyze network interfaces, and ensure performance through ongoing optimization. This role gives you the opportunity to work with advanced planning tools, design configurations, and directly influence the stability and scalability of live networks.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Participate in Nokia's new SW and features support across Europe from NPO's side.
  • Act as a main point of contact for all technical queries and liaise with Nokia’s R&D in case of in-depth product-related support.
  • Deliver customer’s technical workshops regarding 5G and other technologies.
  • Validate the performance of the newest RAN SW in lab & customer’s network.
  • Design, test and assess the performance of Nokia's latest 5G features for our customers.
  • Mentor and guide Nokia’s remote global delivery support team members to ensure quality & on time delivery.
  • Develops/reviews and make recommendations on network-wide design covering performance, spectrum & capacity supported by recommendations (within and across the region).
  • Organizes field measurements and laboratory tests, plan & implement test cases.
  • Optimizes networks with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecasts.
  • Act as a main point of contact for technical queries and liaise with Nokia’s R&D in case of in-depth product related support.
  • Validate the performance of the newest RAN SW in lab & customer’s network.
  • Design, test and assess the performance of Nokia's latest 5G features for our customers.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in 4G/5G radio network planning and optimization activities.
  • Expertise in Nokia 4G/5G SW & HW different releases, Nokia’s RAN parameters, counters, KPIs, and features.
  • Experienced with 5G NSA, SA, C-RAN/O-RAN is plus.
  • Experienced with Nokia MantaRay SON
  • Excellent knowledge of 3GPP releases and protocols.
  • Ability to lead all activities for the maintenance and improvement of network KPI's
  • In depth trouble-shooting capability for analysis of network statistics, KPIs, UE logs, eNB/gNB logs.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making expertise
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused
  • Fluent in English.
