EDUCATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Currently a candidate for bachelor’s or Master's degree in Network Technology, Computer/Software/Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with an accredited school in Canada.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
As a part of our team, you will:
- Acquire a deep understanding of how IP/MPLS networks are built, from small enterprises to the largest Service Providers
- Obtain hands-on experience on the industry-leading 7x50 Service Routers - #1 in Global Edge Routing and #2 in Global Total Routing
- Have availability of the Nokia Service Routing Certification (SRC) Program
- Develop enhanced techniques in the troubleshooting and reproduction of real-world issues
- Experience teamwork in a fast-paced environment and get exposure to Customer Issue Management
Qualifications
You are a great fit if you have:
- An interest in working with the industry-leading 7x50 series of carrier-grade service routers, in learning how IP/MPLS networks are built, and in how the Internet works
- Critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Attention to details and excellent communication skills to provide written and verbal explanations to customers and internal Nokia teams
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize between tasks
It would be nice if you also had:
- Knowledge of IP/MPLS and routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, etc.
- Experience in IP network troubleshooting techniques
- Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment, including automation via Bash/Shell scripting and Python programming
