Senior Data and Inventory Consultant
The External Consultant is responsible for evaluating business strategy, processes and technology needs, and translating requirements into external clients' strategy. Provides consulting services for business cases and functional issues articulating Nokia solutions with an inclusive customer engagement plan and effective interaction with customer decision makers to justify their strategy and investments.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- SME and a go-to expert in the field of Network Inventory platforms and processes (especially use of inventory in Planning, D2G and others). Deep expertise in modelling physical as well as logical and service inventories, and associated processes to manage physical network inventory
- Modelling various telco data sets (across various domains including subscriber, CMDB, network, etc.). Database expert with hands-on experience with Telco data bases and platforms, and ability to work with external / open-source data bases using SQL, APIs, blockchains, etc. to access & exchange data to create Data Products / Data Mart
- Data Governance and Management expertise to support CSPs in their journey towards Autonomous Networks. Familiarity (expertise is preferred) with ODA, SID and other reference frameworks from TMF.
- Improving Data Quality (previous project experience is preferred) and familiar with Data analytics, AI/ML, Gen AI, Agentic AI and other processes to ingest, store and process data sets.
- Analyze client requirements and identify opportunities for improvement within their OSS landscape, with ability to understand/review OSS documentation such as architecture diagrams, high-level designs (HLDs), and low-level designs (LLDs).
- Awareness of OSS Tools landscape and industry best practices / standards (TM Forum, ETSI, 3GPP). Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in the OSS domain, including cloud-native technologies and automation – O2A, T2R, C2L, M2I, D2G and Cloud LCM.
- Research and develop OSS & AN operations best practices along the dimensions of process, roles, platforms/tools, and metrics/reporting. Working with other senior members, you will research markets and assess opportunities for new services development, as well as design go-to-market campaigns, particularly in the Data & Inventory domains
Qualifications
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) with 15+ years of experience in OSS consulting or a related role within the telecommunications industry
- working experience of OSS functionalities and processes (inventory management, service provisioning, trouble ticketing, etc.)
- Awareness of industry standards and frameworks (TM Forum Open APIs, AIOps, ODA, eTOM), experience in these areas is a key differentiator
It would be nice if you also have:
- Good research and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, proactive attitude, and self-learning abilities and excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Previous Agile Project Management
