DevOps Engineer
BB&SoC (Baseband and System-on-Chip) Unit provides high-quality and better performance System-On-Chips and an in-house IP foundation for Baseband and RF Platforms. Develops best-in-class Baseband products and a platform model to support quicker time-to-market of technology adoption with the lowest Total Cost of Ownership. Lifetime ownership of Baseband products to achieve resourceful guidance and profitability of the RAN (Radio Access Network) business. Excelling customer experience with robust, reliable, high-quality and easy-to-operate products.
You will support the development, deployment, and maintenance of DevOps tools and infrastructure. This is an entry-level role, so we are looking for someone motivated to learn and grow within the team, while contributing to automation and continuous integration practices.
Position: Entry level
Start Date (tentative): October 2025
Location: On-site in Amadora, Portugal
Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical engineering, or a related field with an accredited school

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Supporting software integration, build and release activities.
- Assisting with the deployment and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Learning and applying good software development practices for high-quality code.
- Contributing to testing activities (unit, component, integration).
- Supporting troubleshooting and improvements to tools and processes.
- Collaborating with global teams in an agile environment.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have :
- Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java, or C++ preferred).
- Exposure to CI/CD, automation, and cloud environments.
- Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Familiarity with telecommunication concepts (e.g., 4G/5G), cloud-native technologies, or open-source tools.
- Previous experience with scripting or software testing (academic or internship level).
