Solution Services Architect
NW Design & Optimisation (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers. Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance. Contains optimisation and / or managing of the optimisation of customer networks. Covers the execution of end-to-end design-related activities (address surveys, site surveys, design and as-built) for deployment projects.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Candidate must be accountable for the solution leading and execute the creation, end to end IP design, planning, delivery, and optimization of complex Telecom engineering Networks, focusing mainly on:
- Core and End to End IP networks (K8, Virtual Machines/ IoT/Ethernet Backhaul, PS Core/ 5G/IMS/IP Network design).
- Design and optimization of IP network and architecture.
- Configuration of IP Core elements, Capacity planning, network interface design and analysis, including engineering support.
- Provide governance including reviews of LLD & Connectivity architecture across multi vendors domains of the solution.
- Assign, track ownership and drive technical issues from reviews to successful closure.
- Network performance assessment, familiar with KPI, parameter audits, and performance enhancements.
- Leading customer meetings as a Nokia Network representative and providing status reports to internal and external customer as per contractual and/or agreed obligations.
- Work across multiple teams to ensure common understanding of IP plan.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree on Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering or similar. Master’s degree is a plus.
- 2 or more years of experience on similar role.
- Fluent language skills on: English and basic of Portuguese
- CCNP, SRA or similar certifications are plus.
- Strong understanding of IP Design specially on layer 2, layer 3, layer 4 in relationship with application layer protocol & technology (e.g: IP, routing protocols, TCP, UDP, RTP, SCTP, BFD, VLAN, TWAMP, HTTP, video streaming protocols, etc)
- Understanding of 3GPP on different technology (minimal of 4G, 5G & IMS)
- Basic skills deploying Cloud, K8 Design
- Understand & knowledgeable of transport and backhaul in Telecommunication network
- Comfortable with End-to-End call Flows in both signaling & user planes in telecommunication networks.
- Skills on analysis and troubleshooting expertise of PCAP analysis and/or any other variant of packet layer decoder (i.e: Wireshark, Netscout, etc)
- “Big Data” handling, correlation & analysis - capable of working with and analyzing large amount of data to provide findings, estimations, hypotheses and/or “what next to analyze”.
- Strong capabilities on Programing and DB queries search SQL, Python etc.
- Able to understand and KPIs creation based on packet capture or available counters / logs
- Working experience in VM, 5G, C-RAN, EPC, IMS, IP network including FW, SecGW, DWDM
- Relational and non-relational database experience
- Experience in customer/project interface and acts as a Single Point of Contact for all technical/project related matters
- E2E (RAN, EBH, EPC, IMS) Optimization experience is a plus.
- Nokia 77XX, Cisco and/or Juniper certification is a plus
- Multivendor Knowledge is a plus
- Able to work as individual contributor as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication, consultation, persuasion and presentation skills (soft skills)
- Ability to clearly articulate technical and project requirements both verbally and through formal written correspondence
- Self-motivated, capable of learning and work with new technologies
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
- Provide, discuss, accept new ideas.
