Lead OSS & Operations Consultant
As a Lead Operations Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing OSS solutions within the telecommunications industry. Leveraging your expertise in OSS processes, network architecture, and industry frameworks (TM Forum, AIOps, ODA, eTOM), you will analyze client needs, design and implement solutions, and drive operational excellence.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery, staying ahead of emerging trends in automation and cloud-native technologies. Your role also includes developing technical documentation, providing ongoing client support, and contributing to strategic decisions that enhance products, processes, and services.
You will collaborate with Portfolio teams to develop and market new ‘cutting-edge’ Consulting offers to address ambitions and painpoints of leading operators around the globe. As a lead consultant it is expected that you will provide mentorship to other consultants in the practice.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Analyze client requirements and identify opportunities for improvement within their OSS landscape.
- Design and implement solutions that leverage industry best practices and standards (TM Forum, ETSI, 3GPP).
- Develop technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, high-level designs (HLDs), and low-level designs (LLDs).
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, operations, sales) to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in the OSS domain, including AI/Gen AI based Ops, ODA/SID data models, TMF Open APIs cloud-native technologies and automation (O2A, T2R, C2L, M2I, D2G, and Cloud LCM).
- Provide ongoing support to clients after solution implementation.
- Identify market trends & customer pain points to develop Consulting portfolio assets, and support sales to identify leads and win projects.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).k
- Minimum 12-15+ years of experience in OSS consulting or a related role within the telecommunications industry.
- In-depth knowledge of OSS functionalities and processes (inventory management, service provisioning, trouble ticketing, etc.).
- Strong understanding of telecommunications network architecture and technologies.
- Experience with industry standards and frameworks (TM Forum Open APIs, AIOps, ODA, eTOM).
- In-depth knowledge in one of the key areas such as e2e slicing, Agentic AI operations, Digital Twin operations, L4-L5 Automation use cases in Closed Loop, Observability, Zero-touch Operations, etc.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Willingness to travel and spend time in customer premise
- Self-starter and systematic in structuring required steps to reach the goal
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
- Excellent leadership & influence skills with sales expertise
