IP Technical Expert Center Specialist
As a IP Technical Expert Center Specialist, you will provide escalation-level support for Service Provider and Data Center customers, troubleshooting complex networking issues related to routing protocols, MPLS traffic engineering, and converged services. You will leverage your hands-on expertise in technologies like IGP, BGP, MPLS, traffic engineering, multicast routing, and QoS to analyze and resolve customer challenges. Your role involves conducting targeted research on reported incidents, validating issues against product specifications, and identifying product or deployment deficiencies. You will collaborate with software and hardware teams, offering insights to improve products and deployment strategies. By providing innovative solutions, you will play a key role in maintaining the health and performance of mission-critical networks.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Conducts target-oriented research to investigate reported incidents and findings from service provider.
- Customer deployments of IP products.
- Validates these against product and service specifications.
- Provides inputs for the creation and release of hardware/software documentation and customer notifications.
- To determine whether there is a product deficiency or a product deployment deficiency (e.g., configuration, interoperability, or environmental factors).
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 7-15 years of relevant experience.
- Provides technical requirement inputs based on customers’ deployment experience.
- Provides inputs to develop SW/HW build-controlled production releases.
- Retains technical and design knowledge for assigned products and technologies and provides training to the lower support teams.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Familiarity with the care process (especially emergency case handling), contributing when needed to the fastest problem restoration.
- Experience with access network nodes, involving the integration of theory and principles with organizational practices and precedents.
