Hardware IVT Engineer
The Hardware Integration and Verification Engineer will conduct unit-level, board-level and third-party hardware integration for the Space and Defense hardware team. The role will require close collaboration with other engineering disciplines including electrical design, mechanical design, and low-level software development. A diverse skill set is required which includes experience in functional integration, hardware requirements verification, safety and regulatory testing.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
As part of the team, you will:
- Work with Product Architects to define testable requirements that fully define the product hardware.
- Have direct responsibility for hardware test plans that enable product verification.
- Cooperate with electrical and mechanical designers and software team engineers to develop a well-considered holistic design.
- Interact closely with design team members to document product faults and determine the root cause of the faults.
- Provide weekly reporting of program status within release manager meetings and to management as required.
- Compile all necessary evidence at P7 and P8 milestones to demonstrate HW design maturity and quality.
- Champion the testing work needed to effort to successfully launch the product into production.
- NOTE: Due to the requirements of the National Security Agreement, only US Citizens and holders of a valid Green Card are eligible for this position.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You must have:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident is required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Master's degree preferred.
- At least 3 years' experience in hardware IVT taking products to production.
- Ability to use a wide variety of test automation tools to facilitate timely testing in conformance with specifications.
- Knowledge of the MN Create process.
- Customer and 3rd-party test lab relationship management experience.
- Proficient communication (verbal, written) skills
