Educational Recommendations
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited U.S. university.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Assist with schematic design and PCB layout.
- Support circuit board bring-up, testing, and debugging.
- Contribute to FPGA design and debug activities.
- Develop and assist software for circuit boards.
- Work hands-on in the hardware lab with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and digital debug tools.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to apply classroom learning to real-world projects in optical and FPGA system integration.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Practical knowledge of oscilloscopes, logic-analyzers, and digital debug techniques.
- Exposure to digital design, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools.
- Familiarity with FPGA design methodologies (VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog).
- Knowledge of FPGA vendor tools (e.g., Xilinx, Intel/Altera).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team-oriented lab environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Arduino or Raspberry Pi development boards.
- Exposure to optical systems or prior project experience in related areas.
