As part of our Network Automation Team, you will have the opportunity to work within a multi-site R&D Organization to enable our teams to develop, test and simulate network automation solutions for upcoming customer deliverables. You will work with an experienced team to improve the Developer Experience for NSP. The Developer Portal and Community should be the place where ideas are shared with examples and tutorials to enable Nokia customers to use the advanced capabilities of NSP. APIs are a critical element of the current and future success of the NSP and ensuring they are consistent, well-documented and well-supported, is paramount. We are seeking a person who can help contribute to this exciting journey.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
The successful candidate will work with the Network Automation team and support the Network Services Platform (NSP) open interfaces towards our internal and external customers. As part of a greater scope, our team maintains the Nokia Network Developer portal at https://network.developer.nokia.com.
As a candidate this is the key area of contribution as you:
- Produce supporting content for the developer portal
- Develop and document best practices around NSP API usage as well as NSP integrations with customer environments
- Identify and work to correct deficiencies in the NSP APIs and models
- Develop and maintain tools to assist in enhancing the NSP Developer Experience (DX)
- Integrate AI to validate, improve, and expand upon the API documentation
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You Have:
- Strong programming skills using object-oriented software design concepts
- Familiarity with Unix (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Knowledge of API concepts (REST, RESTCONF)
- Strong problem resolution skills: ability to learn quickly
- It would also be nice if you had:
- Networking basics (routing protocols, service architectures, etc)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized applications
- Knowledge of agile software design and test methodologies
- Experience with AI concepts
