Technical Lead – PaCo

India (Hybrid)

Join us as a Technical Lead in the PaCo domain, driving end-to-end implementation and support of Nokia’s Packet Core solutions for Communication Service Providers (CSPs) and Enterprise customers. You'll lead deployments, upgrades, operations, and global NPIs, while ensuring stability through defect analysis across Core SaaS, NCES, and WING.

Be part of a high-performing Software Development (R&D) team within CNS, focused on delivering cutting-edge software and enabling customers to capitalize on 5G opportunities through innovation and agility.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Lead end-to-end solutioning, design, deployment, configuration, integration, testing, and upgrades of Packet Core products independently.
  • Drive introduction, implementation, and operation of solutions in customer networks, including deployment of new products and cross-product solutions.
  • Extend maintenance support with timely issue resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for structured problem solving.
  • Support focused 4LS and NPI activities to ensure first-time-right deployments and fast field issue response.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including MOPs, incident RCAs, and reports.
  • Enable services teams through knowledge sharing and support on solution implementation, including capacity planning and hardware sizing.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You have:

  • 12+ years of experience in engineering or services roles within the Packet Core domain along with a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Prior experience with Nokia CMM (MME, AMF), CMG (S/PGW-C, S/PGW-U, SMF, UPF), and NRD (NRF) solutions.
  • Strong understanding of GSM, UMTS, LTE, IMS, and 5G networks, including protocols and call flows.
  • Experience with VNF/CNF deployments using Helm over platforms like NCP, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation using Shell, PERL, Python, Ansible, with the ability to code in Python, Bash, or Golang.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Quickly learnt new programming languages and tools used in automation workflows.
  • Been an influencing communicator with strong customer-facing, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Thrived in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment with a strong focus on teamwork and results.
