As an NPO Engineer at Nokia, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our multi-vendor Radio Network, focusing primarily on 4G and extending your expertise to 2G and 3G systems. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Optimize multi-vendor Radio Networks (2G, 3G, 4G) to meet and exceed performance KPIs as per SLA, focusing primarily on 4G systems.
- Conduct thorough analysis of worst cell performance, implementing effective troubleshooting and enhancement strategies.
- Engage with customers to gather requirements, address concerns, and deliver innovative solutions during technical discussions.
- Tune multi-layer, multi-technology Radio Network parameters to maximize coverage, quality, capacity, and user experience.
- Perform root cause analysis for complex e2e issues and provide actionable solutions for rectification and improvement.
- Generate comprehensive SLA KPI reports, facilitating SSV/Cluster optimization and acceptance procedures.
- Guide customers through activation plans, KPI monitoring, and evaluation of proposed changes while serving as the primary optimization interface.
- Collaborate in a team environment, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or relevant field
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in RF Planning & Optimization for 2G, 3G, LTE/VoLTE, and 5G networks
- Strong expertise in Ericsson and ZTE Radio Access technologies and OSS platforms
- Ability to conduct in-depth analysis and troubleshooting from radio network statistics and Layer 3 traces
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with Drive-Test log analysis and proficiency in NPO tools
- Knowledge of multi-layer, multi-technology Radio Network Parameter tuning
- Strong skills in MS Office suite, including PowerPivot, Power BI, and Power Automate
- Experience engaging in technical discussions with customers to deliver innovative solutions
