Senior Cloud Engineer - Space & Defense

As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Nokia Space and Defense, you will play a pivotal role in the development of advanced LTE and 5G solutions tailored for defense and public safety sectors. Collaborating closely with a team of experts, you will build and optimize a cloud-based network infrastructure, contributing to projects like the NTN initiative with AST Space Mobile. Your work will directly impact mission-critical communications, ensuring secure and resilient connectivity for NATO and allied nations.

• Build an end-to-end, cloud-based network using production software (deployment and integration of different sw elements on cloud)
• Design, develop and maintain a cloud platform to support software components
• Develop full automation processes for deployment, integration, and testing of Platform
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Explore and implement best practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Contribute to short / mid-term decisions in own area.

You have:

• Understanding of container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and cloud native architecture principles.
• Ability to work with cloud and microservices platforms and/or with IT servers
• Experience in DevOps or Verification including scripting (scripting languages such as Bash or Python), simulators, test automation
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, and firewall configurations
• Familiarity with Linux administration, including command line usage, file systems, and user management

It would be nice if you also would have:

• Knowledge of telecommunication systems 4G/5G and 3GPP standard
• Teamwork skills, analytical thinking and good communication skills in English - both verbal and written
• Readiness to work in a hybrid mode (Nokia Kraków office)
