Our group is recruiting highly motivated Software Professionals to test cutting-edge products in NI’s Network Automation team.

What you will learn and contribute to

We are looking for diligent and curious people passionate about delivering high-quality software.  As a tester in our Network Service Platform (NSP) team, you will contribute to the delivery of mediation and telemetry collection platform capabilities focused on scalable communication to multi-vendor network elements supported by pluggable artifacts.

As part of our team, you will:

Your skills and experienceDefine the test strategy, design test plans, and carry out the validation of major product features, emphasizing automated tests. Contribute to the evolution of our overall test strategy to provide greater quality for our evolving cloud-native software while managing the constraints of our test resources. Develop expertise of network management communication protocols, security certificates, databases and more and leverage it to help your scrum team refine customer use cases into iterative work items. Diagnose complex customer issues and provide a resolution or corrective actions. Manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for individual and release tasks.

You have:

  • Experience writing automated tests with one or more general programming languages or automation frameworks (e.g.  NodeJS, Python, Selenium, Robot).
  • Proficiency with the Linux platform including platform troubleshooting.
  • Strong logical and analytical skills and a desire to bring software to its breaking point to make it better.
  • Prior and demonstrated experience in a Product Verification, Software Development, or IP Networking role.

It would be nice if you also had:​​​​​​​

  • Experience with Kubernetes or other container technologies
  • Knowledge of network management concepts and management protocols (e.g. NETCONF, gNMI, SNMP) or RESTCONF/YANG.
  • Prior experience in the IP networking domain.
