Job Position Description: The Network Automation Professional Services team is looking for a highly motivated individual with solid leadership experience as well as strong skills in software to lead a team delivering automation solutions to customers.

The Automation Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of Service Portal Automation projects spanning supporting pre-sales activities through to development, customer acceptance and support. They will be accountable for delivering solutions to customers on time with high quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and maintaining a strong team of developers and testers
  • Owns implementation, delivery, and support of the portal automation solutions.
  • Working closely with the other teams including network design, requirements, test, product teams, project management, account teams, local delivery teams and Nokia end customers.
  • Successful candidate should expect a hands-on technical role in a fast paced and rapidly evolving environment. Your focus will be delivering quality software solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • You will be challenged with continuous learning as our products change to meet the demands of our customers.
  • You will build synergies with other software delivery teams to build integrated solutions.

What you will learn and contribute to Help our customers streamline their operations with automaiton. Work with the team and internal stakeholders to grow our automation offerings and refine our internal processes.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience in managing software development teams and complex software development/deployment projects.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience developing software
  • Strong leadership and management skills required
  • Solid understanding and experience with various software development and test methodologies and technologies (including web application architectures, Spring, Java, relational databases, DevOps)
  • Experience with IP and Optical networking technologies
  • Knowledge of virtualization and cloud-based technologies
  • Experience working on OSS/BSS implementation projects
  • Proven track record of delivering quality solutions on time & budget
  • Strong customer orientation - willingness to do what it takes to meet customer needs
  • 3+ years working directly with customers (remotely and on site)
  • Proven experience working with global teams
