The role

We are looking for a Project Management Coordinator within NRC’s Industry and Innovation Division (IID), supporting the Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP), the National Program Office (NPO) and Business and International Innovation (BII).

The Project Management Coordinator would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.

Working under the Planning and Coordination Officer within the Planning and Governance directorate, you will develop, maintain and support project plans, liaise with teams across IID to gather inputs, prepare reports and monitor data quality to address identified questions or problems assigned to the Planning and Coordination team. You will also provide recommendations for the continuous improvement of management processes and tools, while also offering administrative and coordination support to the team.

Screening criteria

Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:

Education

  • Graduation from a recognized College or University and/or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Completion of project management courses would be considered an asset.

Experience

  • Recent* and significant** experience in developing, liaising and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and / or external stakeholders.
  • Recent* experience in project management coordination to collect information from various sources, define action items, monitor progress, prepare summary reports, and create status reports using tables and graphs to effectively present information.
  • Recent* experience applying general project management principles.
  • Recent* and significant** experience using MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams.
  • Experience working with SharePoint would be an asset.

* Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.
** Significant experience is defined as having the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained performing the duties over a period of two (2) years or more.

Compensation

From $68,047 to $80,289 per annum.


In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
