Overview:

We are looking for a motivated, deadline-oriented and organized Statutory Audit Accountant with strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze information from different perspectives.

This role will assist in the statutory audit process for a variety of global entities by supporting the external audit process, applying learnings from past years to anticipate the external auditors’ requirements with the aim of reducing the overall the audit timeline.

Responsibilities:

• Support external auditors requests in an effective and timely manner

• Work with external auditors and provide required support; gather support as needed to complete the audits

• Research and analyze accounting data and dig into accounting transactions

• Work with colleagues across multiple functions to plan and produce the audit file in a timely and accurate manner.

• Prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments

• Collaborate with multiple international legal entities operating under different legal structures and regulatory requirements. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information

• Prepare journal entries where necessary to adjust financial records in line with statutory audits materiality levels

• Assist in tracking regulatory reporting requirements

• Assist in different Corporate Finance projects outside of statutory audit season

• Completion of various national statistics questionnaires

Requirements:

• Completion of a post secondary degree in Business Administration/ Accounting

• CPA designation

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting/finance either with an auditing firm or 4+ years of progressive and diversified experience in a financial environment

• Knowledge of IFRS is preferred

• Experience with financial reporting requirements

• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
