Overview:
The Sales Engineer position requires an exceptional ability to translate customer needs into viable and convincing solutions, often in intensely competitive environments. The SE is increasingly mastering a confident balance between deep technical expertise across multiple products and strong interpersonal selling and consultative skills.
The SE is able to design, demonstrate, present and integrate Mitel’s product and service capabilities with the customer’s needs, overcoming objections and competitive threats. Due to technical depth and experience with a customer’s IT infrastructure and the capabilities and constraints of Mitel’s products, is able to design solutions that result in high customer satisfaction with minimal post-sales support issues. The SE is often considered a very strong local generalist – as well as an expert in a specific subset of Mitel’s and competitors product capabilities.
Sales Alignment:
Peer mentoring to SE’s throughout the organization.
Will provide knowledge share in Subject Matter Expert (SME) panels and actively participate in SME teams.
Constant teaching of the internal Mitel sales teams.
Interfaces with Mitel and Partner Professional Services for accurate pricing and proper development of Sales Engineering Documents enabling detailed Statements of Work
Channel Development:
Solutions training for partner SEs
Participates in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
Demo training to ensure flawless customer experience demonstrations on Mitel Solutions
Actively participate in partner events.
Market Readiness:
Be able to clearly explain Mitel differentiators from all our key competitors
Be able to discuss and articulate business continuity and/or disaster recovery strategy with end customers.
Requirements:
Bachelor`s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Proven experience as Sales Engineer, ideally Mitel product experience and/or relevant experience with competitor or ISV offerings in solution area are preferred. Demonstrable track record of sales engineering or consulting in general business or specific industries in sales support, solutions planning, Implementation and Operational background is required.
Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
Advanced white boarding skills
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel, and PowerPoint)
stress-resistant, efficient, quick learner, pro-active
able to work independently
Fluent in Dutch OR French, Good level of English.
