Overview:
The Channel Account Manager (CAM) is responsible for nurturing productive relationships with our Value-Added Resellers (VAR) focused on increasing on-premises unified communications & cloud/subscription services sales within their given account portfolio. In addition, this position is focused on driving partners to operate as an extension of Mitel’s sales capability through effective channel sales and technical training, consultative selling skills, and new business development.
Responsibilities:
Engage with assigned partner accounts to drive stronger relationships, promote pipeline growth, and increase cloud & premises sales on a quarterly basis.
Gather Voice-of-the-Channel feedback directly from partners through various interactions:
Act as the central point of contact
How to remove barriers to success
Drive business and marketing plans
Focus on driving new premises & cloud pipeline by partner
Responsible for screening existing customers to identify potential needs and upsell
Relationship Management – Develop strong top to bottom relationships throughout the partner organization.
Develop strong relationships within the Mitel regional selling team to maximize partner coverage & to improve client engagements to close more business
Establish a regular cadence for communication primarily via email and phone calls to:
Inform assigned partners about Mitel corporate updates, quarterly sales & marketing promotions, and relevant product discounts.
Provide product information and communications on new products & solutions
Educate partners on how to generate additional revenue with Mitel premises, cloud, or software assurance offerings.
Special Projects & Reporting - Work on strategic initiatives as established by channel and/or executive management
Focused Premises to cloud migration programs
Maximize and align partners for Subscription-service sales to align with strategy
Partner Issue Resolution
CAM will have excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task.
CAM will work to achieve the quarterly quota as outlined by Mitel management
Requirements:
Prior Enterprise sales experience working with Channel Partners in the Telecommunications or similar technology industry preferred.
Ability to build and develop relationships with channel business partners.
Excellent problem solving, organizational skills, oral/written and presentation skills.
Sales coaching in consultative selling of partner sales staff is desirable.
Effective time management skills is critical.
Metrics driven and capable of multitasking in a dynamic organization.
Solid forecasting knowledge backed by deep understanding of customer and partner sales processes is highly desired.
Salesforce.com proficiency preferred.
Knowledge and experience of Activity Based Marketing is desirable but not essential.
In-depth experience with MSO365 Tools.
