Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Senior Accountant at Mitel Networks Romania in Brasov (50%-60% role, some flexibility may be available). The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, preparing financial reports, developing financial strategies, maintaining records, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.

• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.

• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.

• Support efficient and error-free intercompany processes.

• Provide input into department’s goal setting process.

• Prepare financial statements.

• Assist with tax audits and tax returns.

• Work with corporate tax team in collection of required data and calculations.

• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

• Support month-end and year-end close process, including but not limited to preparing and posting journal entries, as well as preparing and approving balance sheet account reconciliations in an online tool (Blackline).

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.

• Support the transition to the parent companies ERP.

Qualifications

• Expertise in accounting principles and practices.

• Experience in auditing is preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with SAP, Blackline and/or MS Office Suite would be a benefit.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
