Job Description:

Microchip seeks an experienced attorney to provide strategic leadership across commercial and technology transactions and related compliance matters. This role will manage a team of attorneys supporting transactions, AI use and governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, and supply chain initiatives. This role partners closely with senior leaders, business units, and support functions to drive deal closure, manage risk, and support Microchip’s global operations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
• 15+ years of relevant law firm and/or in‑house legal experience, with significant experience in technology or commercial transactions and related compliance matters.
• Experience supporting global technology companies with both commercial and regulated industries.
• Demonstrated experience leading or managing attorneys or cross‑functional legal teams.
• Strong background advising on complex technology agreements.
• Proven ability to provide clear, pragmatic, and business‑oriented guidance on complex issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to both technical and executive audiences.
• Strong judgment, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional, collaborative, and experienced partnering with senior leadership and influencing outcomes.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $150,000 - $260,000.*
