Job Description:

Join Microchip Technology’s Aerospace & Defense Quality group, where we uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance for all Business Units serving the Aerospace and Defense (ASD) market. Our team ensures Quality Management System conformance, product quality and reliability, regulatory compliance, and fulfillment of customer and space agency requirements. Based in Nantes, you will primarily support French and European development activities within a global organization.

As an Aerospace & Defense Quality Technician, you will report to the ASD Quality Manager and collaborate with a dynamic team dedicated to delivering reliable electronic components for the ASD market. Your role will be essential in ensuring that all delivered products meet the stringent requirements of clients and space agencies.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Verify the conformity of delivered products with customer and space agency requirements.
  • Review production processes, recommend improvements, and prepare associated delivery documentation.
  • Administer and archive assembly, test, and qualification records for all delivered products.
  • Consolidate qualification results and generate detailed reports.
  • Validate product configuration management to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Oversee documentation control by providing and updating source files, recording and tracking changes, and distributing new versions to relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in the execution of the internal audit plan for the Aerospace & Defense Group in Nantes.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Technical degree (BAC+2) or equivalent.
  • Interested in the Space environment, in discovering new products and fields, you are convinced that customer satisfaction is the focus.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems and familiarity with quality assurance methodologies and standards is a plus.
  • Knowledge, even limited, of EN9100, ECSS, ESCC and MIL-PRF systems requirements would be a strong advantage
