Job Description:

  • Taking on the role of technical expert and primary customer contact responsible for a product or family of products,
  • Cooperating with Microchip’s sales and marketing teams to develop innovative solutions that use Microchip silicon with software to address customer design requirements,
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to support FAEs and customer engineering teams in order to resolve customer issues related to our devices or software for business success,
  • Be able to work independently, yet in a team environment,
  • Working on a team to design and build hardware and software that demonstrates Microchip’s latest devices,
  • Developing training materials for internal and external audience
  • Be willing to travel to customer sites occasionally to debug software or firmware while under tight deadlines.

Requirements/Qualifications:

(Required)

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering, computer engineering or equivalent.

2. Over 5 years of development and debugging experience with embedded Linux OS, BIOS, BSP or system drivers is required.

3. Strong programming and debugging skills in C/C++ language.

4. Strong problem solving and hands-on debugging skills are required.

5. Strong teamwork, communication and presentation skills.

6. Excellent verbal and written communications (Chinese) and strong interpersonal skills are required. Strong English language skills (CET-6 or better) are required.

7. Experience with scripting languages (Python, TCL/Tk, etc.).

8. Experience with tools and techniques for board-level system design and debug and bring-up.

9. Basic knowledge of electronic circuits.

10. Experience with Telecom/Datacom testing equipment.

11. Familiarity with networking protocols (OTN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, HDLC, POS, SONET, etc.).

12. Familiarity with multi-core processors (X86, RISC-V, ARM, etc.).
