Job Description:
This role involves -
- Understanding all product functions from the design specifications,
- Development of Firmware , Software and scripts to exercise the device functionality
- Testing and validation of the product functions against the specifications
- Debug pre-silicon , post silicon issues and identify root cause.
- Develop and maintain a reusable validation environment including firmware, software, scripts, test results and associated test documentation.
- Execute Validation Test Plans
- Work closely with architects, designers, and verification engineers.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- BE/ME in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, with coursework in the following areas:
- Understanding of embedded microprocessor design and internal architecture.
- C and C++ programming languages.
- Embedded C Programming (8 bit, 16 bit or 32 bit processors)
- Hands on experience in I3C, I2C, SMB, USB, Quad SPI , I2S Protocols
- Experience in writing low level drivers for one or more protocols mentioned above.
- Basic work experience or exposure to any RTOS
- 3 to 5 years of experience with embedded firmware background and keen interest to debug Hardware and Software
- Experience with validating pre-production devices using an FPGA, board bring-up
- Windows programming (Visual Studio/Visual C)
- Comfortable with PC hardware, FPGA setup and testing
- Proficient in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and other test equipment.
- Ability to understand board-level schematics, board bring up, debug hardware issues if necessary.
- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
- Team player attitude
- Willingness to learn new skills and apply new technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Any of the following skills would be considered a plus:
- Work experience or Exposure to Bootloader concepts in bare metal embedded devices
- Understanding of cryptography techniques.
- Perl and/or Python programming experience.
- Use of a version control system, specifically, Perforce version control software.
