Job Description:

Highly experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer with 15+ years of hands-on expertise in embedded firmware and system development. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, a proven track record of delivering robust embedded solutions, and the ability to lead and mentor engineering teams. Knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, or testing is considered a good asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware for complex systems (e.g., microcontrollers, SoCs, RTOS-based platforms).
  • Architect and implement system-level solutions, including hardware/software integration, device drivers, and communication protocols.
  • Lead technical design reviews, provide guidance on best practices, and ensure high-quality code standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, QA, product management) to define requirements and deliverables.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve firmware and system-level issues using advanced tools and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, testing, and tool development to support firmware validation and productivity.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory standards relevant to embedded systems.
  • Optionally, lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware and system development.
  • Expert-level proficiency in C and assembly language for embedded platforms.
  • Extensive experience with RTOS, device drivers, bootloaders, and low-level hardware interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of hardware architecture, schematics, and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG).
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready firmware in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory standards relevant to embedded systems.
