Job Description:

Microchips FPGA BU are looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join their growing customer applications team based in Armenia. This engineer will be responsible for creating and delivering training materials for Microchips next generation of FPGA tools and products. They will enable Technical Support and Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to support customers in their projects and provide customer facing training in person and virtually. The impact of this individuals contribution will be seen globally across organization.

Creating and conducting training:

  • Define, create, record and deliver customer training on existing FPGA products and solutions
    • Igloo2, SmartFusion2, PolarFire, PolarFire SoC
    • Libero SoC, SoftConsole
    • Soft CPUs, VectorBlox CNN, SmartHLS
    • As online video content knowledge base articles, Microchip University Courses, in person presentations
  • Define, create, record and deliver customer training on future FPGA products and solutions
    • As YouTube videos, Knowledge Base articles, Microchip University Courses, in person presentations

Maintenance and review:

  • Review existing customer training materials, documents, demos, reference designs
    • Ensure clarity of message
    • Identify, report and resolve areas for improvement in documentation
    • Identify and update any out-of-date material
  • Providing feedback and guidance to engineering teams on tool or solution useability and customer friendliness
  • Onboarding and training new staff
    • Locally into the team
    • Globally by providing technical training
  • Support and enable academic programs locally and across Europe
    • Creating of course materials
    • Defining University requirements for internal programs
    • Engaging with universities and students
  • Create introduction videos for new products and kits

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electric Engineering(BSEE) or Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering(BSCE), plus 2 years of relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of C, Python and/or assembly programming
  • Understanding of Microcontroller architecture and its peripherals
  • Experience designing and developing embedded systems a benefit, e.g using Arduino, Raspberry PI etc
  • Understanding of FPGA fundamentals (experience developing with FPGAs is beneficial)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to independently drive issues to closure
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written English and presentation skills)
  • Hard-working and committed; must be a self-starter and an excellent team-worker
  • Ability to learn on the go and ask for help
