Job Description:

  • Lead Junior Planners
  • Coordinate the planning functions for the Assembly and Test suppliers/ partners.
  • Drive a systematic process to receive, evaluate and fulfill Business Unit’s demand across the supplier/ partner sites.
  • Oversee the disposition and transfer of residual inventory to the appropriate “receiving” Microchip factory.
  • Understand and participate in the development and deployment of materials strategies appropriate to the business unit, in
    concert with the Tactical Planning and the Corporate Planning Manager(s)/ Director.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to provide solutions and drive the global assembly and test partners for improvement in delivery
    schedules and problem solving.
  • Anticipate, meet and/or exceed business unit’s requirements by solving problems quickly and effectively.
  • Make internal customer issues a priority.

Support Production Control (Factory Planning) business functions such as follows:

  • Planned Out Dates (xPOD) updates
  • Change Request/ Lot Attribute Update/ Aged FG Recertification thru eSign
  • Lot Scrap thru eNCRB
  • Lots movement transaction (manual intervention for boutique suppliers)
  • Ad-hoc request for any system related updates due to business requirements.
  • Residual mapping to fresh lots to reduce residual exposure

Language & Computer Skills

  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of planning related applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as forecast, demand, inventory, cycle time, on-time delivery, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of suppliers/partners or employees of organization.
  • Good logic knowledge in MES would be an added advantage.

Reasoning Skills

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Experience

  • Factory planning, manufacturing or related experience would be an added advantage

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field, with minimum 4-5 years of working experience.
