Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Intern UI/UX Designer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in designing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for our C++/Qt and Theia-based applications. You will collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to create user-centered designs that enhance the overall user experience. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while learning about FPGA tools and embedded systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing interface components and visual elements for various projects, including navigation, layouts, icons, graphics, and workflows.
- Collaborate with software engineers to understand the technical constraints of the C++/Qt and Theia applications, and adapt designs accordingly.
- Research FPGA and embedded systems development processes to understand real workflows, key points, and user goals.
- Help develop and maintain design guidelines to ensure visual consistency across the entire application.
- Research current UI/UX design trends and analyze competitor tools to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Present and explain your design ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 0–1 years of experience in UI/UX design, graphic design, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Figma; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
- Understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles.
- Strong visual design skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn about FPGA tools, embedded systems, or IDE workflows.
- Good communication skills and openness to receiving and applying feedback.
- Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
- Good English communication skills (verbal and written).
