Job Description:

What’s attractive about this opportunity.

This position will allow you to multiply your knowledge and experience while receiving support from the team as well as the organization.

Key job responsibilities/duties include:

  • Promote existing and new solutions to global automotive and industrial customer base

  • Solid customer engagement to drive new solution definition and technical requirements gathering

  • Create technical demonstrations and proof-of-concepts

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on DSA framework implementations and network topology optimization

  • Develop technical collateral including application notes, reference designs and software examples

  • Support customer evaluations with hands-on technical assistance and custom scripting solutions

  • Create early prototypes of future and market leading wired networking products derived from customer input.

  • Bring early FPGA prototypes to live in an application context.

  • Create, release and support firmware examples to support these products on our 8-, 16- and 32bit-MCU/MPUs plus competitor products.

  • Create demonstrators to showcase key differentiators of our products together with the marketing and hardware team and present those in public events.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors with 10+ years of relevant experience Electronics, Computer Science or other related fields, or Masters degree with 7.5+ relevant experience in Electronics, Computer Science or other related fields

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience Strong knowledge of Automotive Networking protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet) and standard network protocols (TCP, IP, UDP, etc.)

  • Very strong programming skills and proficiency in advanced programming concepts including real-time systems, multi-threading and network programming

  • Knowledge of Multi-Gigabit Ethernet Switches (1G/2.5G/5G/10G) and switching architectures are a plus

  • Understanding of Linux-based embedded systems and automotive software platforms

  • Experience with Distributed Switch Architecture (DSA) frameworks and network topologies

  • Knowledge of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) standards and generalized Precision Time Protocol (gPTP) are a plus.

  • Experience with automotive Ethernet protocols (SOME/IP, DoIP) and testing tools (Vector CANoe, Wireshark, network analyzers)
