Job Description:
Applicants for this position must have experience as a Senior Quality Engineer, specifically in change management and in communicating product change notifications (PCNs) to external clients. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for our PCN Engineers, external clients, and internal clients that are located throughout various departments within Microchip.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Perform day-to-day responsibilities related to product change notifications (PCN) and change management, including interpreting changes for inclusion in PCNs, maintaining the internal PCN review process, managing client contacts for custom PCNs, and ensuring accurate and timely PCN distribution to external clients.
- Ensure that internal clients and all departments comply with established change management policies.
- Review and approve changes associated with change management and PCNs.
- Oversee automation initiatives, including AI-driven solutions, to optimize change management and PCN processes.
- Collaborate with direct reports to plan and oversee training, implement process enhancements and automation, maintain effective client communications, and educate internal stakeholders on automation and process improvements.
- Oversee the tracking and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to PCNs.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for change management and PCNs, providing guidance and responses to all stakeholders as needed.
- Analyze PCN metrics and client feedback to identify and implement process improvements.
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices related to change management and PCNs.
- Support audits and respond to customer inquiries related to PCNs.
