Job Description:
Our design group is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as we validate leading-edge semiconductor devices. We invent systems and tests to ensure Microchip’s brand-new products operate correctly in their intended applications. We require dynamic, versatile engineers who want to participate in design, bring up, and test of complete systems (boards, ICs, firmware, and software). You will work closely with leading edge technologies such as high-speed camera interfaces including C/D-PHY, high-speed display interfaces, Automotive Ethernet, high-end FPGAs and Automotive SerDes. You will experience limitless learning and growth opportunities. Your work will add real value to Microchip’s products.
As a member of our team, you must be highly motivated to learn, have first-class debugging and problem-solving skills, be motivated to develop sophisticated hardware and software platforms, and be able to quickly master the devices and systems that Microchip develops.
What we do:
Design high-speed automotive SerDes boards (up to 16 Gbps) using Microchip and third-party ICs, digital and analog circuits, and large programmable devices
Validate high-speed automotive SerDes boards and chips using coaxial and STP cables for automotive applications
Design highly integrated, sophisticated FPGAs using Verilog/SystemVerilog
Integrate complex test platforms containing MCU, FPGA, Linux software, and our chips
Plan and execute device feature tests, including results analysis, bug detection, and extensive root-cause analysis using Bash/TCL script, Python, and C on Linux platform
Work with leading edge test equipment such as high-speed oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform generators, network analyzers, and internally developed test tools based upon Linux platform
Program FPGAs to perform verification of the design before tape-out
Create automatic test scripts to validate the device by combining the test boards with test equipment using Python
Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems in mixed (analog + digital) signal SOCs
Work closely with and support members of the Product Design, Verification, Software, Software Test, Applications, Marketing, and Product Engineering teams
Add value to our devices by finding issues and developing and testing solutions
