Job Description:

Advanced process technician position supporting production operation in the construction of electronic subassemblies and systems. The role will specifically support printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and final assembly of test systems and frequency control devices for military and space applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Program, operate and maintain process and test equipment to include
    • Automatic placement systems (PnP)
    • Automated inspections systems
    • Epoxy dispense systems
    • Selective/wave solder systems
    • Flying probe
    • X-ray inspection systems
    • Automated aqueous cleaning
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
  • Active involvement in weekly cross functional team meetings to drive yield improvements and reduce scrap
  • Provide training and support to production operators/technicians

Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 year degree in technology, industrial automation, or similar field plus 3 years’ experience supporting PCBA manufacturing operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience programming automated production equipment
  • Desire to build teams and lead improvement efforts
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all individuals in the organizational structure
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with changing schedules and priorities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with CAD to machine translation software such as Circuit CAM or Factory Logix
  • Experience with or understanding of IPC J-STD-001 requirements for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
