Job Description:
Overview:
The Income Tax Manager will help oversee the global income tax provision process (ASC 740) and income tax compliance for a multi-national semiconductor company. The position will partner with the accounting and finance departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the income tax provision and income tax compliance.
Essential Functions:

Tax Provision:
Quarter-end and year-end tax accounting and reporting process; review the tax provision work papers, gather and analyze data related to book/tax differences, complete account analysis and reconciliations, tax account, roll-forward schedules, uncertain tax positions, journal entries and other schedules as requested
Work with finance and accounting departments on process improvements in the quarterly and annual tax provision process. Identify & implement technology solutions to minimize manual processes.
Execute processes in line with required quarterly and annual SOX controls; interface with internal audit as requested
Research tax issues and document findings
Work with financial reporting in preparing quarterly and annual financial statement income tax disclosures
Manage and develop other team members. Incorporate new team members into the process.

Income Tax Compliance:
Gather, prepare & review information required for various components of federal and state income tax compliance
Oversee federal and state extension and estimated payments, complete internal processing requirements for tax payments
Work with the finance and accounting departments on process improvements in the compliance process
Organize and provide timely replies to federal and state income tax notices

Other responsibilities:
Help oversee the US federal, state, and foreign income tax audits
Support the tax team in a number of tax-related projects, such as mergers and acquisitions and tax planning
Remain current on new tax legislation and tax accounting rules
Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of corporate tax experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry
Must have solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles, especially ASC 740
BA/BS in Business/Accounting or equivalent
Masters Degree in Taxation preferred
CPA preferred
A self-starter with strong knowledge in U.S. and non-U.S. taxation. Experience with multi-national tax operations preferred
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player with effective supervisory skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
