We’re recruiting engineers to join our Global Technology team in Mexico City as we open our McDonald’s Office in Mexico. Our Mexico City Office will be a hub for technology innovation and operational support to help us build the solutions that will improve our customer, crew and employee experience each and every day.

Job Description
- Product Strategy and Roadmap definition.
- Manages or supports a technology product, and/or suite of products with business impact.
- Works with business partners to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals, market trends, and customer feedback.
- Partners with business leaders, delivery teams, and / or architects to determine the long-term viability of systems/products, from business and technology standpoints.
- Requirement Gathering and Prioritization.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to influence, gather requirements and prioritize feature development.
- Translate customer needs and market demands into clear, actionable technical product requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration.
- Works as part of a team of technical product managers expected to broadly influence a large portion of the organization or with a charter to innovate/disrupt a strategically important domain.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, design, quality assurance, and operations.
- Ensure alignment on product priorities, timelines, and deliverables across teams.
- Feature Development and Release Management.
- Lead the end-to-end product development process, from concept to launch. Work with engineering teams to define product specifications, oversee development sprints, conduct product reviews, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases.
- Escalates risks and/or issues that might be impacting the team. Proactively identify gaps and opportunities (e.g., services, workflows, tooling) within or between markets and other parts of the organization.
- User Experience (UX) Design.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers (as needed) to create intuitive and user-friendly product interfaces. Ensure that the product design meets usability standards and aligns with the overall product vision and brand identity.
- Data-Driven Problem-Solving Decision Making
- Decomposes complex problems into straight-forward solutions. Consistently brings user feedback, strong, data-driven business, and technical judgment to decisions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track product usage patterns, and iterate on features to optimize user engagement and satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement and Feedback.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback from customers, internal stakeholders, and team members.
- Use feedback to iterate on the product roadmap, prioritize enhancements, and drive product innovation over time.
- Invest time to continuously improve your product management capabilities and close skill gaps.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of technical product management or relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years relevant experience with a Master’s degree.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical products, driving clarity, understanding and discussing technical concepts, managing tradeoffs, and evaluating potential concepts with internal and external partners.
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop project business cases, and measure success.
- Willingness and ability to live the McDonald’s values every day: Serve, Inclusion, Integrity, Community, and Family.
- Proven experience implementing accounting solutions (General Ledger and Account Reconciliation) across different industries (QSR industry a plus) with large-scale implementation project experience within global organizations.
- Experience applying product and agile ways of working that includes best practices and lessons learned to standardize and refine ways of working.
- Highly experienced working collaboratively with business partners to drive outcomes and solve complex technical challenges
- Possess effective communication, storytelling, negotiation, influencing, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong innovation skills to identify, develop, and make improvements to techniques, procedures, services, or products.
- Experience applying data and reporting to present key business cases, make informed business decisions, and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Strong positive thinking skills that includes creating a safe environment to learn, challenge, accept risk taking and a willingness to be wrong.
