Job Description

Are you a data-driven problem solver with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, turning complex data into clear, actionable insights?

At McDonald’s UK&I, we’re looking for a Commercial Insight Analyst to join our Business Strategy & Insight (BSI) team. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations, using data to influence pricing, promotions, and business decisions across our 1,400+ restaurants.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Analysing sales and customer behaviour trends, translating large data sets into commercial recommendations.
  • Providing regular performance reports, identifying opportunities to improve business strategy.
  • Investigating competitor activity, measuring its impact on McDonald’s market position.
  • Delivering insights to senior stakeholders, including the UK&I Executive Team.
  • Improving reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data analysis.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need:

  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience in Tableau (preferred) and PowerPoint.
  • Highly numerate, with strong analytical foundations and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in business performance analysis, or commercial insights (either academically or professionally).
  • Familiarity with data extraction & manipulation tools preferred (e.g., MicroStrategy, Business Objects, SQL, Alteryx).
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills, confident presenting to senior leaders.
  • Curious and proactive approach, always seeking continuous improvement.
