Job Description
The McDonald’s Corporate Controller Group’s Treasury, Tax, and Specialized Accounting team currently has an excellent Senior Analyst level opportunity. This position offers an individual the opportunity to become involved in the accounting, analysis, and reporting of the Company’s derivative instruments used to hedge foreign currency and interest rate exposures and the analysis of the Company’s external and intercompany debt. In addition to monthly and quarterly close requirements, the role is directly responsible for several 10-k and 10-Q footnotes and schedules. The candidate will collaboratively partner with the Corporate Treasury and Tax teams on various projects including but not limited to future derivative and debt activity and hedging policies. The candidate will also be required to learn and become an expert in the treasury accounting system used for the reporting and analysis of the corporate debt and derivative portfolio. The role will also have opportunities to get involved in accounting for specialized complex accounting projects.
Organizational Culture:
Collaborative, team-oriented culture with expectations of individual building strong relationships with our key customers. Our key customers include the Corporate Treasury and Tax departments, as well as other teams within the Corporate Controller Group. The Treasury, Tax, and Specialized Accounting team is a small team that works closely and requires each individual to complete their tasks while helping with the teams overall responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Accounting and analysis of company’s derivative instruments and debt
- Preparation of derivative footnotes and disclosures in the company’s SEC filings
- Monthly/quarterly/annual reporting for company’s debt, derivatives and hedge accounting
- Key contact and expert for the treasury accounting system
- Ad – hoc projects related to Treasury, Tax or specialized accounting topics

The expected salary range for this role is $75,700 - $94,620

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- 4+ years of total experience, with 2+ of big 4 public experience preferred
- Proven success with problem solving and ability to resolve complex issues
- Proven ability to learn and apply new and complex concepts
- Ability to think strategically to align with goals of team and customers
- Outstanding analytical abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams to ensure deadlines are met
- Initiative and creativity in finding efficiencies and process improvement
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have the ability to quickly learn other software applications necessary to complete tasks
