Your Team, Your Impact
As a hardware and silicon validation senior staff engineer at Marvell, you’ll be helping to deliver high bandwidth over long distances. This team performs analog validations on amplifiers that drive optical electronic devices and receivers. We also validate silicon photonics, do upper electronic measurements and support the coherent digital signal programming unit. This is a niche area at Marvell, working with cutting edge technologies used by many internal and external customers around the world.What You Can Expect
- Manage the lab's budget, including forecasting, orders, tracking expenses, and making cost-effective purchasing decisions for equipment and supplies.
- Manage the day-to-day usage and operation of entire PSE labs (involving electrical test equipment, inventory, calibration, chambers, ovens, etc.).
- Maintain an accurate inventory of lab equipment, ensuring regular calibration, maintenance, and timely replacements.
- Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of all PSE lab equipment, including signal generators, signal analyzers and related hardware.
- Oversee the design and build new PSE lab spaces and chambers, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the labs safety guidelines, ensuring consistent and accurate testing.
Maintain and run the screening devices stations and labs tasks.
What We're Looking For
- Practical Engineer Hardware, Computer Science, or related fields.
- 5-10 years of experience in lab management roles, with a track record of successfully managing lab operations and projects.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, including planning, forecasting, and tracking expenses related to lab operations and equipment procurement.
- Experience in procuring equipment and materials, negotiating with vendors, and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in all lab activities.
- Experience in designing and setting up new labs, including chambers, shielded rooms, and other specialized testing environments.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies, industry trends, and organizational needs.
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements related to ESD protection and lab safety (e.g., CE, ISO).
