Marvell is a leading provider of innovative storage technologies, including ultra-fast read channels, high-performance processors, leading edge transceivers, highly efficient analog designs, and powerful cryptographic engines. What You Can Expect

  • As a Lead for the Compiler team, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Working with both internal development teams and Open-Source Community developers for defining, designing, developing and testing features in GCC, LLVM or P4 compilers and libraries.

  • Ensuring that those features are accepted upstream and incorporated into the appropriate Linux distributions.

  • Responsible for working on issues and defects, involving problem determination, problem recreation, providing fixes, and getting fixes accepted by upstream communities.

  • Direct customer support, including both performance tuning and resolution of critical issues.

  • Supporting pre-sales engagements, providing technical guidance and implementing proof of concept solutions.

This role requires deep expertise in some or all of the following:

  • ARM and RISCV instruction set architectures.

  • GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) compiler

  • LLVM compiler

  • P4 compiler

  • GNU Library for C (GLIBC), and Binary Utilities (assembler/loader).

  • Familiarity with software builds, bring-up, test and performance analysis tools used by Linux on Power is desirable along with general hardware skills.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer science or related fields with 5-10 years of relevant experience

  • This position is for an experienced Linux GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) or LLVM developer who has experience developing, optimizing, and tuning compilers for specific Hardware Architectures.

  • Experience developing P4 Compilers is a huge plus.

  • Experience on ARM or RISCV architectures will be directly applicable.
