The Opportunity
The Optics team builds highly integrated component platforms with high-speed Silicon photonics, transmit and receive amplifiers, and controller ASICs with Marvell DSPs. These components are made operational with highly functional embedded firmware. The team is responsible for designing, verifying, and validating these integrated high-speed optical components. The team performs system-level testing under various operating conditions and validates the performance of the hardware, firmware, and control loops. An engineer in this team will be involved in a full product lifecycle and carry new products from inception to NPI.Job Responsibilities:
Hybrid role as an embedded firmware test and development
Design and implement product features
Design and implement device drivers components using SPI, I2C, MDIO, UART
Create test plans, test scripts, execute tests, and deliver test reports based on requirements

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 3-5 years of related professional experience. Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2-3 years of experience.
Strong programming skills using C and Python
Experience with memory-constrained embedded development.
Experience in software test methodologies.
Experience with various microprocessor architectures (ARM or RISC-V)
Familiar with hardware design schematics
Familiar with git, Jenkins, Jira, gcc, make, Qtest, pyTest are a plus
Fast learner and must be a self-starter.
Have excellent communication and written skills.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
101,300 - 149,850, $ per annumThe successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
