We are seeking a Salesforce Technical Lead to guide the architecture, development, integration, and ongoing optimization of our Salesforce platform. This is a hands-on technical role where you will design and build solutions that support multiple business functions, integrate Salesforce with core enterprise systems (such as SAP and Kinaxis), and work closely with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

This role also involves technical leadership over a small team of external developers/contractors, where you will provide architectural direction, code reviews, and development guidance to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Own the technical direction and architecture of the Salesforce platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with best practices.
  • Lead code reviews, enforce development standards, and guide solution patterns across the delivery team.
  • Break down solution designs into work segments and lead external/offshore Salesforce developers / partners to ensure high-quality, consistent delivery.

Solution Design & Development

  • Design, configure, and develop Salesforce features including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, custom objects, and automation frameworks.
  • Define and maintain data models, sharing rules, and security controls across the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions while providing clear effort and implementation estimates.

Integration & Enterprise Systems Enablement

  • Enhance and support integrations between Salesforce and SAP, Kinaxis, Informatica, and other enterprise applications.
  • Implement API-based, middleware, and event-driven integration patterns where applicable.
  • Ensure data consistency, synchronization reliability, and well-documented data flows.

Operations, Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as a Tier 2/3 escalation point for Salesforce-related issues, including root cause analysis and corrective / preventative action.
  • Identify and drive platform improvements such as workflow automation, UI efficiency enhancements, and system performance tuning.
  • Maintain documentation for system configuration, data architecture, custom components, and integration processes.

Additional Responsibilities

Project Management Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to balance project timelines, scope, and resource allocation, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Foster effective communication within the team to maintain alignment, keep all members informed, and ensure focus on key priorities.

Business Analysis Support

  • Assist in interpreting business requirements and translating them into actionable technical tasks for the development team.
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for smarter, more efficient solutions that address business challenges.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience (Sales Cloud required; Service Cloud an asset).
  • Strong expertise in Apex, LWC, Flows, APIs, and data modeling.
  • Experience leading or technically guiding developers (onshore/offshore/consulting).
  • Strong understanding of CRM business processes and how they map into Salesforce capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business users and technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience with SAP, Kinaxis, or enterprise ERP/S&OP integrations.
  • Experience using Informatica, MuleSoft, or similar integration middleware.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application Architect, Integration Architect) are strong assets.

Why Join Us?

  • Influence and shape the evolution of a core enterprise platform.
  • Lead meaningful work that directly supports business growth and operational excellence.
  • Work with a collaborative team and a culture that values innovation, flexibility, and professional development.
