Your team
The Creative Planning Manager will join Magnet Forensics’ Marketing Communications team — the storytellers and strategists who bring our brand to life through content, design, PR and thought leadership.
Role summary
Reporting to the Director, Marketing Communications, the Creative Planning Manager will manage intake, prioritization, workflow and analytics reporting for both content and design work. They will work with stakeholders across Marketing to prioritize content and design needs and ensure all creative work is well-planned, efficiently executed, and driving impact. They will create systems to allow more strategic collaboration across marketing and more efficient go-to-market capabilities. A strong communicator, organizer, and connector, the Creative Planning Manager keeps Magnet Forensics’ creative and content work running smoothly while helping us tell our story with impact and consistency.
Please note: The role will be a hybrid of remote work and in office for candidates in a commutable distance to our Waterloo and Ottawa offices. We have a flexible working arrangement.

What You Will Accomplish:

  • Manage intake and prioritization for both content and design work, working with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Technical Marketing and Communications to identify synergies, balance needs, and manage deadlines;
  • Build and maintain processes for workflows, approvals, content creation and asset management — ensuring strategic collaboration across marketing and clarity and efficiency across teams;
  • Help evolve the content creation process, from briefing through review and publication, ensuring clarity and speed across teams;
  • Maintain a central marketing content and communications calendar, including all content, design, PR and social deliverables;
  • Ensure all content and design requests align with strategic priorities and audience needs, minimizing duplication and increasing cross-functional reuse;
  • Support the Director of Marketing Communications in producing a quarterly insights report summarizing content performance, process improvements, and opportunities for greater impact.

What We Are Looking For:

  • We’re looking for a positive collaborator, proactive communicator and detail-oriented organizer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are part project manager, part systems owner, part strategic enabler, and have experience keeping complex marketing initiatives on track, collaborating across teams, and implementing systems that make everyone’s work more effective.

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing communications, creative operations, or project management (agency or in-house);
  • Strong organizational and workflow management skills; experience with tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or similar;
  • Clear, confident communicator and strong collaborator — able to liaise across departments and balance competing priorities;
  • Analytical mindset — comfortable tracking metrics and identifying process improvements. Experience preparing reports or dashboards is a plus;
  • Familiarity with creative production and marketing content workflows;
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects in parallel;
  • A collaborative spirit and an eye for process improvement;
  • Curiosity and willingness to experiment with and implement AI solutions to drive efficiencies.

Nice To Have Skills:

  • Experience in a B2B or technology marketing environment;
  • Understanding of design or content creation processes.

  • The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable)

Compensation Range:

  • MIN: $72,100 – MID:$103,000 – MAX: $123,600 CAD
