We are looking for a skilled and passionate Senior User Experience Designer to become a part of our team. Your mission will be to transform complex challenges into intuitive and impactful experiences that empower our customers to enhance their productivity and effectiveness. Your involvement will be crucial in crafting a range of web and desktop applications that resonate with our customer goals andMagnet’s strategic direction.

Responsibilities:
- Be an advocate for the user experience across a product or suite of products;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to gather business, technical, and user requirements;
- Create design strategies that identify the target audience, solve customer challenges, and foster organizational alignment;
- Translate requirements into clear design concepts, wireframes, and prototypes;
- Identify usability issues and design creative, user-friendly solutions;
- Present designs and articulate design rationale to senior management and development teams;
- Collect feedback from stakeholders and customers and iterate on your designs to improve outcomes;
- Take calculated design risks and champion innovative ideas to push boundaries;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive design solutions;
- Note that there is a limited amount of travel expected as part of this role (eg. Visiting customer sites, attending conferences, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in UX Design, Digital Design, Engineering, or a related field;
- 5+ years of UX design experience (including creating solutions for web and desktop applications.);
- Thrives in managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously;
- Displays a high level of initiative, creativity, and adaptability;
- Demonstrated expertise in developing design strategies and defining problems to align the organization around a unified north star vision;
- Proven ability to champion products and align them with business strategies and user needs;
- Experience gathering and synthesizing customer insights to drive data-informed designs;
- Skilled with prototyping tools and usability testing methods to validate design concepts;
- Excels at collaborating with cross-functional teams and fostering strong relationships;
- Exhibits leadership and influence, ensuring successful delivery of design concepts;
- Strong track record of mentoring and coaching other team members to grow their skills;
- Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Operates effectively in fast-paced environments and seamlessly balances strategic thinking with tactical execution;
- Capable of quickly learning and adapting to new technologies.
Nice to Have:
- Experience designing for accessibility and inclusivity, adhering to WCAG standards;
- Proven experience in working with quantitative data, including defining key metrics to track and deriving actionable insights from the results.

- The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).
Compensation Range:
MIN: $107,200 - MID: $134,000 - MAX: $160,800 CAD
