Magnet Forensics is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join our Marketing Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of our competitors, identifying market trends, and providing strategic recommendations to drive business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct competitor research and analysis to identify market trends, strengths, and weaknesses;
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive competitor database and tracking system;
  • Report on competitor pricing, product offerings, marketing strategies, and customer engagement tactics;
  • Identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage;
  • Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advise on and implement competitive strategies;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and provide insights to inform business decisions;
  • Stay well-informed and current on competitive offerings and provide the Sales organization with current and timely reference materials for highlighting differentiation to competitors;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both cross functionally and externally (as required).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in competitive analysis, market research, and/or a related field;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong cross functional collaboration skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Strong understanding of market research principles and methodologies.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with data visualization;
  • Experience with the digital forensics / incident response market;
  • Certification in market research or competitive analysis (e.g. CIP, SCIP).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • The Compensation Range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location and you are selected for an interview, the Talent Acquisition Partner can share more information with you. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (ie. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).
  • Compensation Range:
    MIN: $93,600 - MID: $117,000 - MAX: $140,400 CAD
    MIN: $104,800 – MID: $131,000 – MAX: $157,200 USD
