Build a Bigger, Better, Bolder Future

Imagine working for a company that measures its success based off the growth of its colleagues, a company that invests in its future by investing in you. Little Caesars is a company where our colleagues make an impact.

Your Mission

You will work on a team dedicated to automation of software build and delivery processes for Little Caesars’ custom software. Whether remote or on site, you will be involved in all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle, with a focus on continuous integration, test automation, build orchestration, and release readiness. You will share your expertise across software development and IT operations, ensuring that manual processes are transformed into efficient automated workflows. Lead complex automation initiatives, set long-term technical direction for build/test pipelines and toolsets, and contribute to the success of multiple teams. This position may support LCE (Little Caesars Enterprises) or other Ilitch companies.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Define and implement automation strategy and tooling: Develop the overall strategy for automating software delivery and related processes.
  • Integrate security into automation (DevSecOps): Embed security checks and practices into automated pipelines.
  • Set up monitoring and logging for automation infrastructure and processes to track performance metrics such as build durations, test pass rates, and pipeline failure rates.
  • Rapid troubleshooting and issue resolution: Quickly diagnose and resolve issues that arise in the automation pipeline or build processes.
  • Serve as a nexus between software engineers, Quality Assurance, and SRE/Operations teams to streamline the path from code to production.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members and other engineers on automation best practices.
  • Work closely with operations and SRE teams to design deployment approaches that the automation pipeline can support.
  • Constantly evaluate the software delivery process for opportunities to improve via automation.
  • Use your experience to foresee where integration or environment issues might arise.
  • Break down silos and encourage a culture of open communication.
  • Keep yourself and the team updated on the latest in the world of automation, DevOps, and software engineering.
  • Take on the challenge of the most complex or critical build/automation problems and create solutions that are as simple and elegant as possible.
  • Evangelize best practices in automation and DevOps.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in agile methodologies.
  • Beyond just personally excelling, help raise the bar for everyone around you.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Possess 7–10 years of experience in automation, DevOps, or related roles.
  • Excel at analyzing and solving complex technical problems.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to drive automation adoption.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrate initiative and innovation in automation efforts.
  • Have deep expertise in CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Be proficient in Git and version control strategies.
  • Use scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and understand application code.
  • Understand cloud infrastructure, especially Microsoft Azure.
  • Work with containers and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understand networking and system administration for deployment environments.
  • Be familiar with development lifecycle tools like Azure Boards.

How You'll Stand Out

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (optional, but a plus).
  • Relevant certifications: Credentials that demonstrate expertise in automation, DevOps, and cloud services are advantageous. For example, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (focused on Azure DevOps), AWS or Azure Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certifications, or certifications in specific tools (Certified Jenkins Engineer, Kubernetes certifications like CKA/CKAD, etc.). Certifications in agile methodologies or ITIL can also be beneficial, indicating strong process knowledge.

Working Conditions:This position requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule for supporting critical automation infrastructure and release pipelines. You must occasionally work outside of normal business hours (evenings, weekends, or holidays) when urgent issues arise or when major releases are being pushed, to ensure that automation systems are running and any pipeline failures are promptly addressed.

  • Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment (or equivalent home office setup if remote). This involves extensive use of a computer (keyboard, monitor) and collaboration tools. The work environment is generally low physical risk and comfortable, with normal office noise levels (e.g., conversations, computer fans).
  • Occasional travel may be required (approximately 5-10%). Travel could include visits to company offices or data centers for infrastructure work, on-site meetings with team members, or attendance at industry conferences and training sessions. All travel will comply with LCE’s travel policies and be planned in advance to the extent possible.
