Existing Vacancy – Full-Time, PermanentWe are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance and operations of a residential property located in Renfrew, Ontario. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the building is well-maintained, safe, and operating efficiently while delivering high-quality service to residents.Compensation & Benefits Annual salary of $60,000 – $70,000Health Care Spending Account (HCSA)Pension programRRSP matching programFull-time, permanent employmentOpportunity to work with an established and supportive property management team Responsibilities Develop a thorough knowledge of the physical building and all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Maintain a strong understanding of the Fire Safety Plan, fire alarm systems, and related building components including sprinklers, fire pumps, generators, and elevators.Perform regular fire equipment inspections throughout the building.Complete minor mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs, including preventative maintenance and repairs to common areas.Complete apartment inspections as required, including unit turnover inspections.Perform unit turnover duties including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs to prepare suites for new residents.Complete drywall patching, minor carpentry repairs, and general maintenance tasks.Maintain cleanliness and organization of waste and recycling areas.Perform seasonal outdoor maintenance duties, including snow removal and light landscaping as required.Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of common areas as needed.Ensure resident satisfaction by delivering prompt, professional, and courteous service.Follow all Occupational Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.Maintain accurate daily work logs and maintenance records.Participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule to respond to urgent maintenance or building-related emergencies.Perform all duties according to established company standards and service expectations. Qualifications & Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum 3–5 years of related experience in a maintenance, facilities, or building maintenance role.Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and general building systems.Basic computer skills and ability to maintain electronic records.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and accountability.Strong customer service skills and commitment to resident satisfaction.WHMIS, Working at Heights, and Standard First Aid certifications are considered assets.Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License with a driving record acceptable to the company’s insurer.Ability to successfully complete a Criminal Background Check.Fluency in English is required; French is considered an asset. Role Requirements Participate in a rotational on-call schedule (approximately every second week) to respond to after-hours emergencies between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs as required for maintenance duties.Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a service-oriented environment.
